The Ethnographic Edge is the journal of the International Contemporary Ethnography Across the Disciplines (CEAD) Association Incorporated and is a joint initiative with WMIER. Its inaugural edition was published in 2017.

Call for Papers

The Ethnographic Edge encourages submissions on a continuous basis. This being the journal of the Association for Contemporary Ethnography Across the Disciplines, those delegates from huis and ACEAD members are especially invited to submit manuscripts to the journal.

Special Issue

Nau mai, haere mai! The Ethnographic Edge is also calling for papers by indigenous authors for a "Special Issue" section included within the 2019 General Issue titled "Indigenous Voices."

* Papers must have primary or single indigenous authors

* Peer reviews will be conducted by others who have submitted their papers for this Special Issue in a collaborative forum. This means that each author will receive up to two papers for review

* The Special Issue will be curated by a forum of indigenous authors. Expressions of interest for this role are welcome and should be emailed to Jacquie Kidd

* Indigenous languages are welcome but we will need the authors' assistance identifying peer reviewers and proofreaders. We encourage the use of English translations for titles and abstracts

To be considered for our 2019 General and Special Issues manuscripts should be submitted by 1 June, 2019.
